If you opened my wardrobe you’d be hit with a sea of whites, blacks, greys, reds, stripes and a bit of hot pink! I’ve decided to step outside my colour comfort zone and try more floral tops, dresses and even trousers!!! With spring still teasing us on making an appearance, now seems like the perfect chance to stock up on some flower power!!
Here’s a few ideas thanks to Pinterest……
I’m starting off with this Topshop red floral blouse I saw on Instagram and just had to have! (What’s new I hear you say!!) chiffon, lace, ruffles and florals?! I’m sold!!
This is what it looks like on…
Another top that caught my attention and then went on to order and keep, was this high ruffle neck blouse from Very. If it’s good enough for Vogue!! 😉
I’m such a fan of the midi shirt dress…so easy to wear and can look casual or smart depending on the occasion. This new look dress has a subtle floral print that would be perfect to wear with a denim jacket for the cooler days
This blue is such a pretty colour and also features another summer staple…the Bardot! The ties on the sleeves are another cute feature too and at £24.99, it’d be rude not too!
This style of dress is such an easy one to wear, chuck on with some flats, ankle boots or trainers and you are good to go!
Moving onto this gorgeous red floral print statement bomber from River Island. High street prices with a high end style. I would wear this with all types of jeans, over vest tops, cullotes, shorts….oh the possibilities are endless!
If you feel daring enough why not get the trousers too? Of course you don’t have to wear them at the same time as the jacket if you don’t fancy 😉 personally dressed with heels and a black silk vest top….I think it would look gorgeous!
The high street God that is Zara hits the sleeve and floral trend in one top 🙌🏻
I love how Zara has styled this beautiful bodysuit. If you’ve not tried bodysuits since the 80’s then you really must! Luckily they have evolved since we wore the pain inflicting items last (vivid memories of these plastic poppers catching you in places you wish they didn’t!)
How about mixing up the floral prints with this gorgeous maxi dress from Next. Put over a denim jacket or biker for cooler temps
H&M now and a lovely casual top easy to wear with jeans or shorts
Another simple top this time in the off the shoulder style and currently at the low price of £9.99!
Fancy popping out for a pimms at a country pub in this dress?! (In my case more like a cuppa at a McDonald’s…we can dream though right?!)
Moving onto accessories and I’m in total swoonsville and dreamonsville!! Fancy this Gucci number??! I do!! (Anyone got £2,760 they could lend me??)
Slightly more reasonably priced at £50 but just as pretty
Finally this summery tote bag from River Island understated but oh so pretty
So do you just stick to block colours or have you invested in floral fever this spring? Love to hear from you….till next time xoxo
